Description
Seeing the World in a Tide Pool was a finalist in the 2024 River of Art Prize.
This work explores the profound interconnectedness we find in living systems. Abstract shapes cluster together, pushed into relationship by the ebb and flow of the tide. Patterns disrupt easy boundaries, and scribbly lines trace wordless trails of connection and intersection. In this microcosm, as in our wider world, there is no true separation.
Painted with acrylic and ink in earth colours on heavy canvas paper. Framed in Tasmanian Oak behind glass.
Dimensions: 71cm x 55cm x 3cm.
Now held in a private collection.
